1. Justice Mukul Mudgal on Monday submitted to the Supreme Court the final report of his investigation into the allegations of betting and spot fixing in the 2013 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

2. AmrapurkarActor Sadashiv Amrapurkar died in a Mumbai hospital on Monday morning. He was 64. Amrapurkar had won two Filmfare awards. In 1984, he won the award for the best supporting actor for Ardh Satya and in 1991, the best villain trophy for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in Sadak.

India and Nepal have finalised a new agreement to boost people to people contacts and promote tourism by planning bus services on three routes from Kathmandu and Pokhara to New Delhi and Varanasi later this month. The Motor Vehicle Agreement will be signed during the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal during the 18th SAARC Summit which is taking place on November 25, according to Indian embassy sources.

6. The foundation stone of the country’s first ‘Shramodaya School’ for the children of labourers was laid by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The school at Mugalia Chaap village near the state capital will be developed on the lines of the Navodaya Vidyalaya. The medium of instruction in the school would be English.

9. Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Prakash Javadekar has said that the Government of India would be establishing a Centre of Zoo Sciences at New Delhi in due course for which the modalities were being worked out.

1. Senior IAS officer Alok Kumar has taken over as secretary of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), country’s top anti-corruption body. Kumar, a 1984 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has also been entrusted with additional charge of Joint Secretary (Training) under the Ministry of Personnel till completion of his tenure or till posting of his successor, said an official order issued by the Ministry.

2. As many as 55 people, including women and children, were killed and about 200 were injured in a suicide bomb attack at the Wagah checkpoint near Lahore and along the India-Pakistan border on Sunday evening. No damage was reported on the Indian side.

4. A passenger spaceship being developed by Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic company crashed during a test flight near the Mojave Air and Space Port in California, killing one pilot and seriously injuring the other, officials said.

Mumbai-Based NGO Apnalaya will be a beneficiary of Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiography ‘Playing it My Way’ as proceeds from its sale will be given to the organisation for fighting malnutrition in children. “Sachin has committed a part of his proceeds from the sale of the autobiography to Apnalaya in their fight against Malnutrition in Children and provision of clean drinking water. The autobiography is scheduled for release on November 6,” Apnalaya said in a press release.
महान बल्लेबाज सचिन तेंदुलकर की आत्मकथा प्लेइंग इट माई वे की बिक्री से मुंबई के एनजीओ अपनालय की मदद होगी क्योंकि इस किताब की बिक्री का एक हिस्सा बच्चों में कुपोषण के खिलाफ लड़ रही इस संस्था को दिया जाएगा। अपनालय ने प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा कि सचिन ने प्रतिबद्धता जताई है कि उनकी आत्मकथा की बिक्री का एक हिस्सा अपनालय को बच्चों में कुपोषण के खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ने और स्वच्छ जल मुहैया कराने के लिए दिया जाएगा। आत्मकथा का विमोचन छह नवंबर को होगा।

The Creative Head of Limca Book of Records (LBR) P P Peter today visited Kunjannam at the private Amala Medical College Hospital where she had been admitted for old age ailments recently and handed over the certificate of record of being the oldest woman in India.
