President Pranab Mukherjee presented on Saturday, "Sunil Gangopadhyay Memorial Award" for excellence in the first Bengali literature to poets and writers Nirendranth Chakravarti outstanding for 2012 and Sankha Ghosh for the year 2013, respectively, in the award function in the Raj Bhavan.
Today presented the Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan Award Veeramani K to achieve social justice and to the Minister of Public Works and Tourism Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal.
The former India captain Kapil Dev with the Lifetime Achievement Award CK Nayudu by the Bank of Credit and Commerce at the annual awards ceremony of the seventh day.
